It was announced today that Tania is one of the recipients of the Postgraduate Scholarship
– Doctoral (PGS-D) award by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Congratulations Tania!Update (September 25, 2014)
As NSERC PGS-D awardee, Tania also receives the President's Doctoral Prize of Distinction, a top-up award for recipients of one of the Doctoral Tri-Council Scholarships (NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR). Again, congratulations Tania!
Department of Biological Sciences Teaching Award for Fabini
Fabini received the 2014 Department of Biological Sciences Teaching Award. He was presented with the award certificate by Dr. Heather McDermid, Associate Chair of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Tracy Ravio, Assistant Associate Chair, during the Celebration of Excellence ceremony on March 27, 2014 at the Department of Biological Sciences. Tania Recieves the Award of Excellence in Teaching
Tania receives the Award of Excellence in Teaching from the Interdepartmental Science Students' Society (ISSS) of the University of Alberta. ISSS hosted a vibrant dinner get-together for all the awardees at the Faculty Club on January 29, 2014. Congratulations!
Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship Winner
Tania receives the Queen Elizabeth II scholarship from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research. The Government of Alberta funds the scholarship and is available to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Congratulations Tania!
Tania and Fabini Join the Lab
The Boucher Lab welcomes Ph.D students Tania Nasreen and Fabini Orata.
Tania holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Fabini has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines. They are both recipients of the University of Alberta Doctoral Recruitment Scholarship.
Paul is glad to have new company in the lab.
