Tania is the Recipient of the NSERC PGS-D Award

It was announced today that Tania is one of the recipients of the Postgraduate Scholarship    Doctoral (PGS-D) award by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Congratulations Tania!

Update (September 25, 2014)
As NSERC PGS-D awardee, Tania also receives the President's Doctoral Prize of Distinction, a top-up award for recipients of one of the Doctoral Tri-Council Scholarships (NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR). Again, congratulations Tania!

Department of Biological Sciences Teaching Award for Fabini

Fabini received the 2014 Department of Biological Sciences Teaching Award. He was presented with the award certificate by Dr. Heather McDermid, Associate Chair of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Tracy Ravio, Assistant Associate Chair, during the Celebration of Excellence ceremony on March 27, 2014 at the Department of Biological Sciences. Congratulations!

Tania and Fabini Join the Lab

The Boucher Lab welcomes Ph.D students Tania Nasreen and Fabini Orata.

Tania holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Fabini has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines. They are both recipients of the University of Alberta Doctoral Recruitment Scholarship.

Paul is glad to have new company in the lab.
